Shirpur, Sept. 16 (Reporter):-Jain Irrigations sponsored team "Sinhagad Supremos" has been busy these days in practising their game on the cricket ground at Savalde (Tal. Shirpur) in the campus of N.M.I.M.S. University governed by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM). The team players practised hard in two phases in gym and in net. Their practice camp would continue till September 21.
Salient features of "Sinhagad Supremos"
This is the team which won last years (2010) "MPL" T-20 cricket tournament. There are 19 players in the "Sinhagad Supremos" team and they have already arrived here from Thursday for the practice camp. Maharashtra Ranji teams allrounder Azar Ansari is the Captain of this team and Wasim Bari, Vishal Bilare, and Tanvir Ahmed are other allrounders in the team. Today morning Suyash Burkul guided some players in gym practice. Other players also practised for a long time on the ground under the guidance of team coach Sandip Dahad. Some players had gym practice in the afternoon session while some preferred to have net practice instead. Today the massager from Mumbai Azar Kazi joined the training camp in the afternoon. He is expected to work on the physical fitness of all players. The sports psychology expert Dr. Meenal would arrive tomorrow. Team owner Atul Jain is himself arriving here on Sunday to oversee the training camp arrangements. Physiotherapist Dr. Utsav is also expected to arrive tomorrow. Pune Warriors player Ganesh Gaikwad, Royal Challenger Bangalore player Jitendra Patil, Rajasthan Royals player Akshay Dareja, Ranji players – Azar Ansari, Mudassar Mulla, Vishal Bilare, Vishant More, Sagar Sawant, Kunal Nar, Vicky Bariya and Ghanshyam Chaudhary are also joining the team. The team practised very hard under the guidance of team coach Sandip Dahad, Suyash Burkul, Mushtaq Ali and Rahul Swarge. Mayor Bhupeshbhai Patel, N.M.I.M.S. University Director Rajgopal Bhandari, PRO Rahul Dande and District Cricket Selection Committee President Nilesh Patil have provided some special facilities for the "Sinhagad Supremos" team.
Feature of Cricket ground at Savalade
N.M.I.M.S. University Vice-Chancellor, the President of S.V.K.M. and MLA Amrishbhai Patel and his brother and Shirpur Mayor Bhupeshbhai Patel has set up an international level cricket ground in a 15 acre campus of N.M.I.M.S. University at Savalade on the banks of Tapi river. They have spent around two crore rupees to make it ready in February. Curator Vijay Mane and Rajendra Pawar have prepared five pitches on this ground which has a grass on it.
