Jalgaon, Sept. 20 (Reporter):- JISL Vice-Chairman Ashok Jain today unveiled the "Maharashtra Premier League" (MPL) trophy in Jalgaon in a grand ceremony. The MPL cricket tournament is played on the lines of the IPL tournament and it is held every year by "Sakal" Media Group and Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA). The attractive "MPL" trophy attracted all people. Local cricket players, several citizens and youths thronged the place – the G.S. Ground.
The ceremony for unveiling the Cottonking "MPL" trophy began today morning at 10 am on the G. S. Ground which is in front of the hospital of Dr Mahendra Kabra. On this occasion, Sinhagad Supremos team manager Arvind Deshpande, Sinhagad Supremos Co-ordinator Siddarth Mayur, Khandesh Edition Manager of "Sakal" Anil Joshi, Jain Sports Academy Farooq Shaikh, Co-ordinator of Jain Sports Academy Ravindra Dharmadhikari, Sayyed Mohasin, Vivek Adwani, Dinesh Thorat, Sports Director of Bendale College Dr. Anita Kolhe, and Dr Mahendra Kabra and other dignitaries were present.
The Cottonking "MPL" trophy will travel through several cities in the Maharashtra state. Jalgaonkars were lucky to see it first ahead of people from other cities. Initially after it was unveiled, it was kept there for display for around one and a half hours. Afterwards, it was kept at the Cottonking Showroom near Golani Market. Students from M J College were the next to see it when it arrived there. Then people who attended the lecture on the occasion of 114th birth anniversary of Founder Editor Dr Nanasaheb Parulekar got the chance to see the Cottonking "MPL" trophy.
Youths capture the Cottonking "MPL" Trophy on Mobiles
There was a huge rush to see the Cottonking "MPL" Trophy in Jalgaon city. Youths were seen using their cellphones to shoot its image. Even the collegians in M J College flocked to see the trophy there.
