This code of conduct outlines the standard of behavior expected from Sinhagad supremos on and off the field and before and after the tournament is concluded.
The purpose of the code is : To provide a framework for all the players and team support staff to conduct their sporting and supporting activities in the best interests of the franchisee in particular and the game in general.
Codes of Conduct :
- Respect the rules and play in the spirit of the game.
- No player or the supporting staff of the team will talk to media on any aspect of the game prior or during the tournament.
- Do your best to be a team player and maintain a sense of integrity.
- Instructions from the Franchisee management must be respected and followed.
- Any form of Dissent will not be tolerated. Grievance, if any, must be given in writing to the Team Manager. Team meetings must be attended without fail and should be used constructively and not to air grievances etc.
- Franchisee will ensure proper lodging and boarding arrangements.
- Strive to maintain a sense of self-control and dignity at all times.
- Focus on the game 100%. Avoid distractions.
- Consumption of Alcohol, Cigarette smoking, tobacco is strictly prohibited.
- Ensure that your actions do not bring disrepute to the Franchisee or the game in general.
- Refrain from the use of profane, insulting, harassing or otherwise offensive language or behavior on or off the field.
- Give teammates positive inputs and feedback.
- Be open to speak to the Coach and get guidance. The supporting staff should refrain from offering separate tips that is in contradiction to the Coach’s advice as it will only confuse the player.
- Respect the officials and their decisions. Respect the opponents and be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. Compete fairly and squarely. Display high standards of behavior that promote a positive image for the game. Aim to receive the fair play award.
- Respect the facilities and equipment. Respect the Cricket gear. Do not abuse Bat, Ball or any other cricketing gear by banging it or throwing it for any reason.
- Thank officials and opposing teams after every game/ match.
- Reject corruption, drugs abuse, racism, violence and other dangers to the sport.
- Co-operate with Organisers and Event co-ordinators.
- Do not ridicule or yell at players for making mistakes or for performing poorly.
- Refrain from public criticism of franchisee, co-players, coach and supporting staff.
